Babe's chicken (literally)
What's up everybody?
This has seriously been the weirdest week of the mission yet hahaha. The drama in the mission quad continues this week, and it has honestly been super funny until I realize I will likely have to deal with this for 7 more weeks haha. Heard yall got snow up there in UT, I'm jealous, it has just been almost freezing cold, windy, and misting for 4 days straight. I actually love it out here in Texas, I could totally live out here except Utah is better hahaha.
The part you all came for, the drama. Let's just say that my companion has a sister missionary sense of humor (no offense to you sisters I actually laugh at your jokes sometimes haha). He is also pretty passive aggressive and is always trying to be better than everyone. So him and Elder John have kinda a rivalry, and John just says everything how it is so Thurgood is not a fan. Love the guys but they gotta chilll. And Thurgood is pretty selfish, so it's especially difficult to be his trainee cuz he doesn't trust me with about anything and is always trying to correct everything. It is something for sure. What a joy my apartment is.
In honor of election day being tomorrow, I wanted to remind yall it doesn't matter who ya vote for god still loves you. That being said, if you vote for Wu-Tang than god loves you a little more. Haha all jokes aside I saw a Wu-tang forever 2020 campaign sign yesterday and it made my whole week. Hahaha I love texas.
So i went on exchanges with Elder John on Tuesday I think, and that was a good time. We met up with his dad's friend who wasn't a member and had babe's chicken with them, which is actually out in Arlington definitely outside of our zone. Let's just say that this guy had a pretty good looking daughter who just had to make fun of me for saying howdy, smh hahaha. Not a texas thing apparently, but it is 100% a Larson thing so that was embarrassing. Might have to go to Texas Tech for college now lol jk. She was good looking, and I have only been out 2 weeks so it's legit. So I spent a bit of time in Arlington, saw the Ranger's stadium and also AT&T stadium for the cowboys. I still am not a cowboys fan don't worry. Btw if you are ever in texas I would 10/10 go to Babe's chicken, its 100% authentic southern fried chicken and food it is soooooo good.
On Saturday I went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders, that was super fun. We got to do some service and the people had an $11,000 albino German shepherd named Kya she was such a good girl. We ended up going to Bucee's, for those of you who don't know, it's a huge gas station with like 150 pumps. Some members hooked us up with a brisket sandwich and it was amazing. We went to Walmart twice to grab some non alcoholic ciders hahaha so we had a Halloween celebration for the district and got crunked.
I've also become quite the pool prodigy hahaha me and Elder John have a huge 8 ball pool rivalry and I'm starting to get the upper hand after only playing pool for like 2 weeks. Seriously though this has been an amazing week out here in the slums of Texas hahaha. I would love to hear from yall facebook finding gets kinda lonely sometimes. Anyways till next week.
Love Yourz
Elder Larson

Can you tell how sleep deprived I am
