Just another week in the ghetto
What's up everyone?
This has definitely been an interesting week out here in the DFW. To be honest as far as missionary work goes, Avondale is super slow and super frustrating haha. Especially with how limited we are able to contact people, we are pretty much just limited to doing service for people, which is awesome.
On Saturday we gotta do some service for a family that has like 300 acres, a super sick lake and the whole 9 yards. Honestly a dream property if I were a little bit more yee-haw, but I miss my mountains way too much to ever live out here. Anyways I caught a couple of fish there, super small but still caught them, while I was cleaning the lake lol.
Ended up in downtown Fort Worth today, we went and played some top golf with a couple of the other zones around here. Super sick to meet a bunch of the other elders. Currently am sitting in some shrimp restaurant, we will see how good this ends up being haha.
The big news this week, we got 4 baptismal dates. Haha just kidding we have 0 investigators but transfers are coming up. The apartment is picking up another body, elder Morris and he's joining me and Thurgood for a trio. So we will be changing the series to mission quint drama. There's also a new elder in the district, Elder Madsen, supposedly he's from Farmington UT but I dont recognize the name so let's see how this goes.
My comp continues to be a drama queen haha. If I had to describe him, he is Laman and Lemuel because the only time he isn't complaining is when we are going somewhere that the sisters will be haha it's annoying. He's basically a 20 year old that can't take no for an answer and still says "that ain't it chief" and "fuuuu". Haha all differences aside I have set all our differences aside and definitely began to be more christlike in dealing with him, so we are getting along better, hopefully Morris will help as well.
We had front row seats to a crime the other day. We went out onto our porch and there was like 20 police vehicles, ambulances, firetrucks and the such. We saw a destroyed bike in the middle of the street but they never pulled out a body. We saw them all congregate in an alley that we also had a perfect view of, so we think the guy that got hit ran away. Pretty sick night tbh.
Anyways I hope yall had a good week.
Love yourz
