Christmas time in Argentina!

Whats up yall? How have you been? Its been a bit of a crazy week haha, all good things tho all good things. Christmas time in Argentina is mega different! Ill explain in a sec, but its wild. Missionary work here has been tough, but thats prolly just cuz its christmas haha!!


Im sure all yall are wondering how i have been surviving without breakfast. I found a lifehack yall, while my comp is in the shower, i hurry, eat and wash the dishes, and boom it never happened haha. Cant believe its like this.

This week was good tho, we made a trip up to Monteros, that was super good! We talked with the 5 active members that they have up there, and it was good! Super awesome branch up there, Monteros is just a tough demographic to work with. It doesnt help that a decent portion of that demographic lives 3 hours away from the church. :/. But nah it was a fun visit good to see some new faces!

We had the baptism of Yanina this week!! Super hype, she is so awesome haha! She shared her testimony with us(which is crazy cuz she is super shy) and it was just about the best thing ive ever heard in my life! Her baptism was awesome, it was just me, Elder Campos, the president of the branch, and the President of the relief society. 4 people in total. And the power in the church went out, so we did it in the dark. So awesome! Despite literally everything going wrong, nothing can get in the way of the work of the Lord! Top 10 experiences of my mission for sure!

Christmas in Concepcion is a little bit interesting. After asking around a bunch of people what it is like, i have determined that a decent 90% of the population is just planning on getting blackout drunk on Christmas eve! Good for them haha. I cant wait to try "la cerveza de Argentina". <thats a joke btw prolly gonna read some scriptures christmas eve dont worry mom.

Stuff has been good, a couple of complaints haha, dropped more than half of our friends this week, that sucks, what can you do? And it is somehow hotter than Texas out here. Not sure how that is possible. On the brightside, empanadas and helado(ice cream) still exist, and are still super delicious!

Ive been obsessed with the Prophet Russell M Nelson recently haha. Yall must go watch the christmas message he sent out! It is so good! Also I studied the talk "Christ has risen: faith in him can move mountains". Such a good talk. If you read the book of Mormón with the intent to find out if its true, you will get an answer. When you get that answer that it is true, that testimony, that faith that you have, will move every mountain, every obstacle that you have in this life. My invitation: read the book of Mormón, get that testimony. If you already have that testimony, seek to improve your faith in Christ every day, and it will move mountains!

Anyways I love yall, have a good Christmas! Spend time with the family while you still can! I wanna wish yall a merry christmas from the bottom of my heart! Feliz navidad!

You know I am getting tired of writing up these weeklies haha, but you know i havent missed a weekly in 2 years so imma stick with it haha. Hope yall have been thriving back home and in your missions! Been a good week. Whats up everybodyy? How yall been? Hope yall had a peachy keen week! Its been a good week here in Independencia, just kinda vibing haha, working hard, enjoying my time in Argentina! We've been walking around all week, its been a vibe, probably walked like 30 kilometros haha. It was good, we saw a bunch of success, found some solid people.  Had some exchanges with the boys in San Ignacio, that was fun. My boy elder Lewis was dying haha, so we had to go save him from his comp. Had some fun lessons, I ran the joke that I was from Chile the whole time and got away with it. My spanish is evolving to a whole other level. Had the baptism of Carlos this week! It was such a sweet experience! He is a capo, so glad I got to meet him and his fam. Literally no one showed up to the baptism, but that happens haha. The water was freezing cold bro, winter sucks here. I'm happy to be here. Sup yall? How have yall been doin? Hope that all is going well wherever yall be at! Been a good week, just been vibing out here, working really hard, being obedient and stuff yall already know. Did some exchanges with the boys in Joaquin V Gonzalez, which is a 5 hour bus ride. Muito bom. It was sick, its a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. such sick vibes. It was so chill out there. Thats where you go to catch the Golden Dorado for all yall fishermen out there. Good exchanges tho, really had me remeniscing on my time in Concepcion, I miss those small town vibes. We also had a talent show activity, and we dressed up as vaqueros(argentinian cowboys) and sang "Adios Amor" which is a sad mariache song, it was so sick Ive been vibing a lot with the poncho recently, cuz its been cold. I really rock with the poncho mate mix, way hype. I have been loving the vibes up here recently.
