Primera Semana

What's up everybody!

It has been such a crazy week here in the MTC. Haha just kidding I stare at a computer for 8 hours everyday. I barely ever get to leave my house, so that's kinda exciting. For real though I have learned more in the last week than I probably ever have in my life. It started out pretty chill, because I already knew everything from previous Spanish classes. That didn't last long, as we covered pretty much everything I learned in two years of Spanish in two 3 hour lessons. It's been a struggle ever since honestly but it is most definitely worth it.

There is honestly no other way to describe my district other than a bunch of lads and lasses. My companion Elder Jones and I are literally the exact same person, except he is from Draper so his mom drives one of those Porsche SUVs. To be honest you could think of that as the greatest blessing, but also, we can never study anything because we get along so well. Love all my district and my teachers but let's just say that Elder Stuart is on my last nerve rn. Maybe you will hear more about him next week lol we will see.

To be honest my favorite part about the MTC currently is how literally nothing except for Spanish matters at all. I guess the Gospel matters too, but seriously, Spanish is everything atm. Like if you just got Dear Johned, no big deal because if you don't know that countryside is campo in Spanish, then the next two years of your life are going to suck. I do love the Spanish language, but it is getting exhausting to learn two pages of vocab words everyday, and I haven't even gotten to the intermediate core yet, which will be hundreds of words a day.

Anyways it has felt like a lifetime since I was set apart last Wednesday. To be honest the only thing that I am missing right now is first, the movie Surf's Up, and then I also miss regular music. I can only listen to my brother's Gospel soundcloud music so many more times. I guess I still have movie soundtracks and BYU Vocal Point going my way.

Oh, and I got reassigned to Texas Fort Worth to leave on October 20th, so I will be sitting around at home doing nothing for another two weeks after I finish the MTC.

Till next time,

Elder Larson

(Sorry I don't have pictures, turns out sitting in front of a computer isn't that exciting)
