Una Semana Extremadamente Loco! (Crazy week)

What's up everybody?

It has indeedly been a week out here in Avondale haha. I dont even know where to start. I hope yall have a merry christmas, it dont really feel like christmas when its 70 degrees but that's alright. Our apartment is extremely festive, we have like 4 christmas trees including a 7.5 foot one haha, and we haven't even spent a dime on it.

At the beginning of the week we found out our trio was gonna be staying together, so I was pretty upset, and Elder Morris was extremely upset, he didn't really talk at all for two days straight haha it was miserable. Those were probably the most difficult days of my mission so far. Twas not pretty. Besides that, nothing really exciting happened so far.

Wednesday we had transfers, and even though I lost all of my biggest homies in the zone, it still turned out pretty good. I think there is a lot of cool people coming in so it should be fun I hope.

That night we got a call from president, after transfers had happened, and Elder Thurgood was getting emergency transferred the next day. Biggest blessing honestly, we really were not getting along too well.

Thursday we sent him off, and not a whole lot happened there, Friday was just a normal day, just me and Morris doing our thing you know. We went carolling that night, and it went super well. Passed out some pass along cards to some people, super fun. Then everyone started screaming and I was like huh? So I turned around and there was a couple making out and I was like huh? Turns out that a couple got engaged to our singing of "Angel's we have heard on high" haha! that was a little surprising to say the least.

Saturday we got to demolition basically the entire interior of a building. That was super fun, but one of the most physically painful services we've done so far. My hands were all messed up and bloody after that, and there was about 6 pounds of drywall dust stuck in my eyes haha. We had dinner with the Bitner family, and that was awesome. This family is related to the Judkins, as in Gabe Judkins for you Farmington peeps, so that was a really cool connection. Their son is on a mission, and teaches a spanish class, and I just so happened to watch his spanish class a couple of days before and so there was that connection too. Apparently their spanish class was super successful, and I'm the spanish class specialist in our zone, so he hooked me up with a 34 page guide to setting it up. Cant wait.

Sunday we had a super good lesson with Emanuel and he said that he wants his kids to be missionaries like us someday, real tear jerker. He's super solid and doing well. Our ward mission leader called us into a room and we had a meeting, supposedly some ward members made some complaints against Elder thurgood and so we think that's why he got transferred out. Yikes.

As you can tell, I'm doing great this week. Every week is a struggle, but you just gotta keep putting one foot in front of the other that's all. I hope all yall have a great week and an even merrier christmas!
