Elder Larson ~ Texas to Argentina

Hi everyone! How's yalls week been? Mine has been an absolute gem lemme tell ya. As far as missionary work goes, nothing happened, I think this might have been the slowest week of the mission up to this point, every week just continues to outdo the last one tho haha. In terms of drama, you already know that this week has been filled with it haha. I'm not gonna get into it here, so if you really care enough about the monstrosity that is our apartment, send me an email and I'll be happy to fill you in hahaha.  It was actually kinda a depressing week, cuz we were stuck inside all day, it was raining all week, and there was a super creepy/ominous fog for like 3 days this week, it was super gloomy and sad. I'm still tryna stay positive though of course, and I'm always still tryna have a bit of fun no matter what, only 10 more days until transfers and this nightmare ends at least. On the brighter side of things, a bunch of Elders are gonna be getting back to the Argentina...

What's up everybody? I hope all of yall are doing well, especially those of you who actually read these. It's been a bit of a crazy one here in the DFW haha. To be honest with you not a whole lot has happened this week but also everything has happened. We did a little bit of disc golf proselyting haha, found a guys frisbee and we hit him up and played a game with him and ended up inviting him to church, he said that he'd be down to come, but he lives in another area, so we sent him to that church, idk what happened from there. Gave a guy a Book of Mormon and a pass along card on MLK day, first one of the mission haha, only took 5 months haha. He seems super solid, hoping to get him to church this week we'll see. Most RMs would think those are rookie numbers, but that really has been the highlight of the whole mission. The apartment has been out of control haha. What's up everybody? How are yall doing? Stuff has been a bit crazy this week, being a covid missionary is really starting to get old haha. As you can tell from the title, we are once again a quint! Out of nowhere Elder Belnap got dropped into our apartment and he is pretty dope. He has 21 siblings though haha, that's how you know he's from Idaho. We had interviews with president this week, and it went really well for me and we get to do exchanges with the ZL’s tonight.    About all we've been doing lately is 9 hours of Facebook a day for the past 3 weeks straight, so it has really been a grind. I'm still doing better than I was the first month out here haha, see ya later mental health for the next two years.  One of the coolest things that I have noticed is how strongly the spirit is felt when we say the first vision in a lesson. Que dice todas las personas? Hope yall had a wonderful holiday season, it was definitely an interesting one for sure. To be honest with you almost nothing happened at all this week, the holidays are kinda the worst time to be a missionary.  We haven't really been getting fed by the members as of recently, that's alright tho. We just kinda have to have toast for dinner most nights. Nothing is kinda the theme for the week, aside from 1 service project nothing happened at all. We probably put up around 40 hours on Facebook this week haha. Our one service project we did was about the highlight this week. We helped some artists move out of their house, probably the grossest house I've seen in a minute, definitely picked up some second hand smoking haha. Besides that that was about our week, I became the greatest pool and solitaire player in the whole world, and I also picked up a couple of songs on the ukulele, so that's super exciting.
