WE'RE GOING TO THE GHETTO

Howdy y'all! It's been a super boring week haha. Not too much going on cuz the comp is still RICEing his foot, we can't get out too much so that's been a bummer, but we still had some stuff go down so I'll try and make it interesting for y'all haha.


I'm gonna address the important matters first. I'm getting transferred baby! I'm super sad to leave the Avondale area, but I'm so stoked to go to the Fort Worth 6th word. That's downtown fort worth, right in the ghetto. I am super stoked. My comp is named Elder Austin, and his Facebook profile pic caption is a quote from Uncle Iroh from Avatar the Last Airbender, I'm super pumped for that haha. They whitewashed bonds ranch, so Elder Ellis is the only person staying from the apartment. Crazy transfers, everyone just got moved around in zone but I got lucky enough to escape haha. 8 months and I finally get to see a different part of Texas.

We still don't have anyone progressing, but we had some awesome visits with some inactive members. We met with a lady, and she was interesting haha. She confessed that her parents were first cousins, to which she immediately followed up with "thankfully I'm not too r******d" haha that was super awkward. It went so good, the spirit was super strong, we brought it back together. Super interesting though.

We visited another guy and he opened up the door and we started talking, and he was super tough, not interested. Than we were like well can we share a scripture with ya. And he was like nah I'm evangelical I don't believe and that, but Elder Larson was a little bit more tricky than that. It was from the bible, in Roman's 8 and so he listened, and after that he really opened up. It was so cool. He's not coming back to church anytime soon, but we really touched him it was awesome.

We only had two meals this week, so it was a really sad ending to my time in Avondale. It's all good though. I'm happy to announce that I left the area better than I found it, so I feel successful. Its really been a wild ride here in Avondale, let's hope it's all up from here haha. I wouldn't trade it for anything though.

That's about it for the week though. There was a nascar race near our place on Saturday and we got stuck in traffic for about 2 hours, it was insane. Normally like a 15 minute drive, super intense. Really good showing of redneck trucks though, pretty sick. We saw a Rolls Royce Phantom though, not sure why he was at nascar. Pretty neat

You know I am getting tired of writing up these weeklies haha, but you know i havent missed a weekly in 2 years so imma stick with it haha. Whats up everybodyy? How yall been? Hope yall had a peachy keen week! Its been a good week here in Independencia, just kinda vibing haha, working hard, enjoying my time in Argentina! We've been walking around all week, its been a vibe, probably walked like 30 kilometros haha. It was good, we saw a bunch of success, found some solid people.  Had some exchanges with the boys in San Ignacio, that was fun. My boy elder Lewis was dying haha, so we had to go save him from his comp. Had some fun lessons, I ran the joke that I was from Chile the whole time and got away with it. My spanish is evolving to a whole other level. Had the baptism of Carlos this week! It was such a sweet experience! He is a capo, so glad I got to meet him and his fam. Literally no one showed up to the baptism, but that happens haha. The water was freezing cold bro, winter sucks here. I'm happy to be here. Sup yall? How have yall been doin? Hope that all is going well wherever yall be at! Been a good week, just been vibing out here, working really hard, being obedient and stuff yall already know. Did some exchanges with the boys in Joaquin V Gonzalez, which is a 5 hour bus ride. Muito bom. It was sick, its a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. such sick vibes. It was so chill out there. Thats where you go to catch the Golden Dorado for all yall fishermen out there. Good exchanges tho, really had me remeniscing on my time in Concepcion, I miss those small town vibes. We also had a talent show activity, and we dressed up as vaqueros(argentinian cowboys) and sang "Adios Amor" which is a sad mariache song, it was so sick Ive been vibing a lot with the poncho recently, cuz its been cold. I really rock with the poncho mate mix, way hype. I have been loving the vibes up here recently.
