Sweat and scorpions
Whats up yall!¿? How have yall been doing? Stuff has miraculously continued to keep on floating on out here in the sometimes beautiful Tucuman! Its been a good week, filled with success as far as the missionary work goes, and we have received a bit of news for transfers and stuff so thats always good. Also got a little bit familiar with the wildlife out here, and lets just say that if you ever visit Tucuman, it is best just to ignore the bugs haha!
Super good week, stuff is still going good with our friend Florencia, she is ready to get baptized this Saturday! She has her interview tomorrow, it should be hype, she already passed the pre interview and everything, so that is hype. We were able to baptize Silvina last week, that was super hype, I am very excited for her and her family! We also have a ton of our friends progressing and coming to church as well, it is such a blessing! If all go as planned we will be in the baptismal font a decent amount in the coming weeks!
We got some transfer news today, Elder Campos is going to be going to Chile on the 25th of January, actually kinda sad to see him go! But this week I am going to be picking up another child haha, I am going to train a gringo, fresh out of the MTC, I am really looking forward to get to practice my Castellano more, he is probably just barely gonna be able to give his testimony at the end of the lessons. I am stoked, my favorite part about training is getting to play little jokes on the kid, cuz they dont know what to expect from the mission haha. Hit me up if you need any jokes to play on your greenies! That does also mean that I will probably be in Concepción for another 3 months, and for those of you who are counting (like my mom), that doesn´t leave us with much time left in the mission yikes.
Met some new friends this week, a scorpion was chilling under my study desk the other day, just about got my bare foot, but he wasn't quite sneaky enough haha. That was hype, we captured him and he is currently in a jar in our pantry, with the other friend we met this week. Found a tarantula just outside of the door of our apartment, so we did as every Elder would do, and captured him and put him in the pantry haha. Man the bugs out here are kinda scary not gonna lie.
But we are doing just dandy! The mental health is doing better than most. (Tiger Woods reference for you golf fans out there). We got bikes this week, that was hype, biking is fun, but Tucuman is famous because nobody knows how to drive out here, so it is also mildly terrifying. I love it though. This really is the Lord's work, and I have seen his hand in every moment of it this week! So sorry that my emails are always so long! But if you care enough to listen, that was about my week! Love yall!
