Estamos Remando en Dulce de Leche
Whats up yall?? How has life been treating ya? Hope that yall are doing well! Stuff has been going super good out here with Elder Gooch, the Spanish is a bit of a struggle haha, but we are killing it honestly.
In reference to the title thats my new favorite saying in Castellano. It means "we are rowing in dulce de leche" or caramel. Which is obviously super thick. So its gonna be a struggle haha. Its like saying "we are kinda struggling". But at the same time you found a lake of dulce de leche. Count your blessings.
oh Concepcion flooded this week too. We were working with the facebook pages in the church all Saturday, the Relief Society president showed up to the church at like 8 o clock, said that it was drizzling outside, we were like huh? Because we were inside working all day. Then a couple of minutes later it was a torrential downpour haha. The RS president is terrified of storms, so we sang Master the tempest is raging with her, good old Hna Bravo. All the taxis were hiding their cars from the storm, so we had to walk home. In a downpour. We waded the 30 minute walk home, it was crazy. Didnt have a jacket, umbrella, or anything like that. Got home and there was a fat puddle under my desk, there is always a leak when it rains in our apartment. Thats tuff. It was crazy tho. Kinda hype.
Besides that stuffs been going good. Apparently two white fellas is super funny to the argentinians, they are always hazing us in the streets haha. Im just waiting to get robbed, its only a matter of time haha.
Our friend Ricardo came to church yesterday! Way hype. Even tho it was in Monteros, and there have been way prettier sacrament meetings, he still loved it. He told us he wants to go back next week, even tho we wont be there, and that he has a strong testimony of the book of mormon. Super excited with the progress he is making. It is incredible to see that even tho it might not have been the prettiest sunday in the church, even though there was 16 people, the spirit still testifies to the hearts of our friends that this church is true. Pure truth. In my very short time as a missionary, I have built up a lot of faith in the power of the spirit in the conversion of our friends. When our friends, read, pray, and go to church, the spirit has always, and will forever testify of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel.
Sorry this email is a little bit long, hope yall are having a good week! Dont forget to pray eh?
Love yourz
Elder Larson
