Just anotha week

Hi everybody! It has been a really slow week, that is quite alright though. Hope all of yall had a great Christmas, I for sure did. Vamos a empezar por hablando sobre el dia delante de navidad, Christmas Eve. (Translation: Let's start by talking about the day before Christmas.) We played a game of frisbee with the Baker family and all of Logan Bakers friends, you already know that we won. The wind was crazy though that kinda sucked. We then went to the Bakers for dinner, and that was hilarious. Nothing really eventful happened, but their family had a zoom nativity scene, and their youngest Luka started fortnite dancing during his portrayal of a wise men, I was dying. I was walking with John to go play some pool, and I was like "that lesson went really well". And then he was like "really? Cuz I thought it was awful." I was like "why" and he was like "because we weren't prepared." I'm sorry? We tried to get a time to go through it with ...

Una Semana Extremadamente Loco! (Crazy week)

What's up everybody? It has indeedly been a week out here in Avondale haha. I dont even know where to start. I hope yall have a merry christmas, it dont really feel like christmas when its 70 degrees but that's alright. Our apartment is extremely festive, we have like 4 christmas trees including a 7.5 foot one haha, and we haven't even spent a dime on it. At the beginning of the week we found out our trio was gonna be staying together, so I was pretty upset, and Elder Morris was extremely upset, he didn't really talk at all for two days straight haha it was miserable. Those were probably the most difficult days of my mission so far. Twas not pretty. Besides that, nothing really exciting happened so far. Wednesday we had transfers, and even though I lost all of my biggest homies in the zone, it still turned out pretty good. I think there is a lot of cool people coming in so it should be fun I hope. That night we got a call from president, after transfers had happened, an...

Transfers? Maybe, we'll see

What's up everybody? Hope y'all had a good week this week, hopefully it was more eventful than mine. Wish I had more to share, but Covid really has the mission work really slow.  About the only thing happening there is kinda spicy haha.  So we've been teaching Sister Drake, and she's been inactive for like 60 years, and the other day she texted us saying that she wanted to give a suit to my companion Elder Morris. Well, Elder Morris didn't need another suit/have space for it, and Sister Drake isn't in the best financial situation, so he didn't know what to say to her, so he said nothing. Me and Thurgood didn't hear about this until like 3 the next day, and that's because she dropped us because he didn't respond to her. Haha it was like a junior high text relationship, so funny, but so sad because our teaching pool just got cut in half😪.  Also our most consistent family that feeds us, the Powells, confessed to us last night that they are vegan. T...

What's up everybody? What a week this has been. Really not a whole lot of anything is going on out here, we did about 15 hours of service this week so that was super dope. We have been really busy, so I will take that. We also sit through a lot of long meetings and trainings, so you gotta love that, whatever gets you away from facebook I guess. Couple of highlights for the week. The Christmas devotional was amazing. I loved Jeffrey R Hollands talk, especially when he mentioned Mosiah 14: 3-6, I love those scriptures. We were doing service for the Boyer family, and there was an old guy there, I dont remember his name, and he was like where you from? So i told him Farmington and he was like what stake? Turns out that this guy was the Area 70 over Farmington and Centerville, so my old stake President got a picture of me and my comps haha. Couple of not highlights for the week. Ericka from Christ Havens, the food pantry we do a lot of service at, is moving to Costa Rica. That is kinda ...
