Elder Larson ~ Texas to Argentina

Whats up? Hows it going? This week was pretty crazy haha! It went by literally so quick! Feels like everyday I wake up and have to write another weekly email! Been a good week for sure tho! Had a couple of baptisms this week! Our friends Sonia and Margarita got baptized, that was so awesome! Their son/grandson baptized and confirmed them, such a special experience to be a part of! Miqueas is going to be a great missionary fs! The ward had a baptism for an 8 year old, Nico, we live above their family, so we had to go support! It was fun tho, they go hard with the celebrations after, music soda, pizza, etc, it was way fun. Took one of the most iconic pictures up to this point haha! We literally do not have enough time to work. We have hardly done any finding, just teaching. Whats up yall? It feels like 15 minutes ago I was writing my email from last week haha. But thats only cause we had a real good week haha!  Last pday was hype, we actually got to go out and do something for the first time in 6 months! Salta is so pretty! I would describe it as like Park City, but way more tropical, and a lot poorer as well. Maybe thats just cuz I am in the ghetto. Holidays are the worst in Argentina. Everybody just sees it as an excuse to take off work and drink. Idk if Jesús would want you getting wasted to celebrate his resurrection. Just my personal belief haha. It was good tho, still had a good week tbh Had probably the funniest lesson of the mission up to this point haha. Write me if you wanna hear about it, not appropriate for the weekly hahaha.. Whats up yall? How have you been? It has been a crazy week haha! We made it up here to Salta, everything all good there! I have never seen an area with so much missionary work potential, it is unreal! And there is actually members here, that was kinda a nice change to be honest! So I am in Salta Sur, we are in the barrio democracia. Which is, the ghetto. It is honestly a lot scarier than Tucuman haha, never would have guessed it. Our neighbor, Mono, has murdered two people, already robbed the missionaries here, we have had a couple of sticky situations with him haha. It's all good tho, we live right above a member, so he has our back. His name is Nacho, he's so sick haha! It was an absolutely unreal week missionary work wise, we found an unreal amount of people, and had 19 friends come to church. We have been working so hard. We found a family, which is such a relief cause families don't exist in Concepción, this family has 45 grandkids, they are 60 in total. One of them go...

Whats up yall? How have ya been? Kinda a crazy week this week haha. Mom, in reference to the title, that wont translate very well, thats slang from Tucuman, "I am already gone". I think its a mix of me fui and me voy, "i went" and "i am going". People in Tucuman dont have time to diferentiate the two, so they just combined the two words haha. Oh they do have time on their hands, they just use it to sleep and drink alcohol haha! Anyways, cultural rundown and lesson on Tucumano basico aside, I am leaving Concepción! I never thought this day would come, I am very sad about it. I was really close with the 20 active members that we had. I am super grateful for my time in Concepcion, really grateful for all the lessons I had to learn out there, and all the wonderful(and less wonderful people) that I met!
